The Opportunity: Special Educational Needs (SEN) LSA
We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and inspiring SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our successful inclusion team. This vital role involves supporting students across various key stages who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or require specific, additional support to fully access the curriculum. Your focus will be on promoting independence, improving engagement, and helping students achieve both their academic and personal goals.

Core Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with the class teacher to deliver differentiated lessons and activities to individual or small groups of SEN pupils.
- Implement and adapt sensory, communication, and behavioural strategies tailored to pupils with varying needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, MLD).
- Facilitate the use of assistive technology and specialist resources to support pupil engagement and learning outcomes.
- Provide essential in-class pastoral support, ensuring the emotional well-being and safety of the pupils.
- Contribute to the review and evaluation of pupil progress by maintaining accurate and detailed records of intervention impact.
- Support pupils during unstructured times (e.g., transition, breaks, lunch) to promote positive social skills and interaction.
- Assist with any necessary manual handling or personal care needs in a respectful and discrete manner, following established protocols.
What We Are Looking For

- Demonstrable experience working directly with SEN pupils in an educational environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and a meticulous approach to record-keeping and intervention tracking.
- A strong foundation in literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C/4 equivalent or higher is preferred).
- A flexible team player who is willing to take direction but also capable of working effectively on their own initiative.
- Evidence of a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
