The school is a maintained special school serving pupils aged 2-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Every student has an EHCP,Designed around the core belief that every student deserves opportunity and independence, the school's vision-"Be kind, Be responsible, Be the Best You Can"-guides its practice
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
- Adapt teaching methods to meet a variety of learning needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive and safe learning environment
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals
- Monitor and assess progress, celebrating achievements big and small
- Promote emotional wellbeing and social development alongside academic growth
- Use creativity, empathy and structure to engage learners positively
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or training in SEN
- Child DBS on update service.
- Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible teaching approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
