About The Role :
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be a vital part of a school community, providing crucial support to students with a wide range of learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioral needs. You will work closely with Teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This role is about more than just assisting; it's about building relationships, fostering independence, and celebrating every small victory. You'll be a mentor, a motivator, and a champion for our students.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and adapt them to meet the specific needs of students.
- Support students with their personal and social development, encouraging positive behavior, building confidence, and promoting independence.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the Teacher and other relevant staff.
- Help manage classroom behavior and create a safe, calm, and productive learning environment.
- Liaise with parents and external professionals as required, contributing to a holistic support system for the student.

- A patient and empathetic approach with a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- The ability to be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced school environment.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with the resilience to navigate challenging situations.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to undertake further training.
- Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly within a school or SEN setting, is a plus but not essential.
