The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with Teachers and other professionals to provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities. Your primary goal will be to help these students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Individualized Support: Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with the class Teacher to manage classroom activities, support student engagement, and maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Behavioral Support: Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good conduct and emotional regulation.
- Personal Care: Provide support with personal care needs where necessary, ensuring the student's dignity and well-being are always respected.
- Therapeutic Activities: Assist in delivering therapy programs (e.g., speech and language, occupational therapy) under the guidance of specialists.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with Teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of student progress, observations, and incidents, contributing to regular assessments and reviews.

- Relevant Experience (Desirable): Previous experience working in a school or with children with special educational needs is a plus, but not essential. We value the right attitude and a willingness to learn above all else.
- Relevant Qualifications (Desirable): A qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is beneficial.
