Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced English teacher to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You will create and deliver engaging literacy programs tailored to individual learning styles and developmental needs.
Job Type
Full-Time, Long-Term Contract
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Must have the legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
Experience teaching SEN students in UK schools is mandatory.
Experience
Proven experience teaching SEN students in a UK school setting. Experience working with students below Key Stage 1 (KS1) is highly desirable.
Skills
Proven ability to adapt English teaching methods for diverse learners.
Proficiency in using alternative literacy milestones and frameworks.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
A commitment to creating a safe and encouraging learning environment, and building positive relationships with students.
Ability to assist with personal care when needed.
