Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in Early Years or SEN?
We're seeking a confident and creative individual with the skills to provide tailored 1:1 support under an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new-build primary school in Poulton starting this September. You'll be part of a collaborative team, making a real difference in a child's life.
The Role
This is a term-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a competitive rate of £13.50-£15 per hour.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a specific pupil, focusing on their academic, personal, and emotional development.
Preparing and adapting resources and activities to match the child's learning style and interests.
Collaborating with a team of TAs and professionals to ensure a cohesive approach.
Monitoring the pupil's progress and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Managing challenging behaviors with a calm and proactive approach.
The school's team-based approach means you will rotate with other TAs to help the child build independence.
Essential Requirements
A TA qualification (Level 2 or 3).
Experience with EHCPs or Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Prior experience working with young people with SEN or learning difficulties.
The ability to build strong rapport with children.
A creative, flexible, and proactive approach to support.
