Ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? Randstad is hiring for a long-term, full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in Wirral. This is an exciting chance to use your skills and passion to help students thrive in a supportive school setting.
Tasks
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with a variety of SEN.
Work closely with class teachers to implement individual learning plans.
Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
Assist with lesson preparation and student progress tracking.
Act as a mentor and guide for students as they work toward their goals.
Skills
Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A current Enhanced DBS check, or the willingness to apply for one.
At least six months of experience in a similar role within a UK school.
Relevant qualifications in education or experience working with children with special educational needs are preferred.
