As an SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to meet the unique needs of students with SEN. 📚
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualised learning plans for students with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with specific needs, ensuring they feel supported and included.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued.
- Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to address the holistic well-being and academic progress of students with SEN.
- Support students with daily activities and learning tasks, adapting strategies to meet their needs.
- Work closely with SEN specialists and education teams to ensure consistent support and monitor progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN or in a caregiving role for children with special needs is desirable.
- Genuine passion for working with children and dedication to their welfare and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in interacting with students with SEN.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in handling challenging situations encountered while supporting students with SEN.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to meeting the diverse learning needs of students with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training in SEN support.
