As part of the eligibility criteria for this role, we require candidates to have completed the relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules.
If you have not yet completed these modules, don't worry - we are happy to support you in obtaining them. You will be provided with direct access to the required training materials. The training costs approximately £210 (One time Payment), and successful completion is necessary prior to commencing the role.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from the National Autistic Society, which can serve as a valuable addition to your professional profile. This certification is widely recognised and can strengthen your CV when applying for roles that support individuals with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse conditions.

RoleRole & Responsibilities
As a Specialist Mentor ASC, you will provide individualized academic support to students with autism and Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLDs). You will build strong relationships with students, empowering them to succeed in their academic pursuits. You'll be working collaboratively within a team of dedicated professionals, and enjoy flexible working hours.
Main tasks include
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for students with autism spectrum conditions.
- Provide academic mentoring and guidance, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure holistic student support.
- Utilize educational technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
Requirements
- Completion of relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules (support provided).
- Experience supporting neurodiverse learners is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in educational technologies.
