Communicate clear instructions and "Independent Learning" tasks set by absent teachers.
Use a variety of resources (books, equipment, and digital tools) to promote active learning.
Maintain high standards of classroom management, organisation, and health and safety.
2. Inclusion & Student Support
Provide supervision in Internal Exclusion, upholding policy while encouraging a productive work ethic.
Work closely with the Inclusion Team to support students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
Act as a mentor for KS4 students who are potential underachievers, helping them reach their academic goals.
3. Behaviour & Communication
Manage after-school sanctions and maintain accurate records of student achievement and behaviour via BROMCOM.
Act as a point of contact for parents/carers regarding student successes or areas for improvement.
Facilitate a uniform approach to work delivery using the internal network (M Drive).
4. Team & School Support
Accompany and supervise students on educational off-site visits, ensuring all safety requirements are met.
Collaborate with the Study Supervisor team and assist in the induction of new staff.
Support the Inclusion team with classroom tasks when cover requirements are light.
