Working on a supply basis gives you the freedom to choose when and where you work, fitting your career around your life. You will have the opportunity to support a wide range of vibrant and welcoming primary schools across the city, providing crucial assistance to teachers and helping pupils to achieve their full potential. This is the perfect role for a confident TA who enjoys the dynamic nature of school life and can adapt quickly to new classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with class teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Lead pre-planned interventions and focus groups in areas such as Phonics, Maths, and English.
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for children with specific educational needs (SEN).
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and safe learning environment.
- Help prepare classroom resources and contribute to displays.
- Support with observations and provide feedback on pupil progress to the teacher.
What We Are Looking For:
- A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- Proven experience working within a UK primary school setting.
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and child development.
- Confidence in leading small group interventions.
- A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or the willingness to obtain one).
