We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Support Worker/Teaching Assistant to join our partner Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Newmarket. We are seeking a proactive individual who is committed to providing a positive and engaging learning experience for all students. You'll be working in a collaborative setting, supporting students to reach their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and tailored lessons.
Foster a supportive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
Help track student progress and assist in implementing individual learning goals.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student development.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage learning and growth.
Support the implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the teacher.

Requirements

Eligibility to work in the UK.
Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
A Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Knowledge of various SEN strategies and interventions is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A creative, resilient approach to supporting students.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
