About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Teacher of Dance to join a forward-thinking and high-performing secondary academy in the Wakefield area, starting as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and challenging Dance lessons across key stages. This full-time post requires a practitioner who can not only deliver outstanding classroom teaching but also contribute enthusiastically to the extra-curricular life of the department, preparing students for performances and examinations.

Requirements:
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Knowledge of the UK secondary school Dance curriculum and exam specifications.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a dynamic and ambitious Dance curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Choreograph and direct dance routines for school performances, showcases, and community events.
- Maintain high standards of positive discipline and behaviour in line with the school's ethos.
- Contribute to the wider performing arts extra-curricular programme, including clubs and rehearsals.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the Performing Arts and wider school faculty.
- Track and intervene to ensure all students are motivated and achieving their full potential in Dance.
- Actively participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and faculty meetings.
