Responsibilities
- Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver consistently high-quality, engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assessment and Feedback: Mark work regularly, providing high-quality, actionable feedback that accelerates student progress.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the review, development, and improvement of the department's schemes of work and resources.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the academic progress and attainment of all assigned students.
- Pastoral Care: Act as a tutor, supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of a group of students.
- Attendance: Maintain accurate records of student attendance and punctuality in lessons.
- Policy Adherence: Implement and uphold the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and health & safety policies at all times.
- Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behaviour.
- CPD Participation: Actively engage in departmental and whole-school professional development sessions.
- Extracurricular Contribution: Support the wider school life through participation in clubs, revision sessions, or school events.
