Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of the English national curriculum (KS3 & KS4).
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teach to a range of abilities, tailoring support and challenge accordingly.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and resource development.
- Mark, assess, and track student progress against national standards.
- Set high expectations for student behaviour, effort, and achievement.
- Inspire a love of reading and critical thinking.
- Provide timely, high-quality feedback to students.
- Attend and contribute to department and whole-school meetings.
- Participate in extra-curricular English activities, clubs, or trips.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular literacy.
