About the Role
We are currently looking for a talented Teacher of Geography for a full-time position starting in January at an ambitious secondary school in Bradford. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to join a supportive Humanities department and play a pivotal role in the academic success and character development of students aged 11-16. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and collaborative department, entrusted with delivering high-quality, engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role requires a commitment to developing a curriculum that is both rigorous and relevant to the diverse student body, fostering a deep understanding of physical and human geographical concepts.

Requirements
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Familiarity with the current national curriculum and relevant assessment practices.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Contributing to the development of the Geography curriculum and schemes of work.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Utilising a range of pedagogical approaches to maximise student engagement and achievement.
- Participating in departmental meetings, training, and whole-school professional development.
- Providing effective feedback to students to guide their learning and progress.
- Undertaking pastoral duties, acting as a form tutor and supporting student well-being.
- Liaising with parents/carers and external agencies regarding student progress and welfare.
- Contributing to extra-curricular activities related to Geography or the wider school life.
