About the Role:
This full-time History Teacher role is based in a thriving secondary school in the Buttershaw area of Bradford. You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering a challenging and knowledge-rich curriculum based on the AQA specification. You'll work within a forward-thinking Humanities Faculty, supported by a dedicated Subject Lead for History and a collaborative team who share a deep commitment to excellence in the humanities.

Essential Requirements
... - QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Strong knowledge of the AQA GCSE specification is highly desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

- Creative, engaging lesson planning
- Strong communication with staff, students and parents
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and teach in line with the department's schemes of work
- Use formative and summative assessment to track student progress
- Provide written and verbal feedback that helps students improve
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor student progress and intervene when needed
- Promote a love of History and academic curiosity
- Organise or support educational visits and historical workshops
- Support literacy development through extended texts and historical vocabulary
- Promote diversity through inclusive representation in curriculum materials
