We are seeking a passionate and skilled Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, temp-to-perm role starting September 2025 at a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Wakefield. Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons in line with the UK curriculum
- Plan schemes of work and lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Encourage respectful discussions around complex religious, ethical, and moral issues
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic engagement
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Support students preparing for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations
- Implement school policies on safeguarding and child protection
- Deliver differentiated learning experiences to meet individual needs
- Support extra-curricular activities related to RE
- Liaise with parents/carers regarding student progress and behaviour
