The Role: Teacher of Science
This is a full-time, position based in Bradford, requiring an immediate start (ASAP). The role involves teaching Science, specifically Physics up to Key Stage 5 (A-Level) and all three sciences across Key Stage 3 and 4, in a diverse and high-achieving academy. The appointed person will be an inspirational educator dedicated to securing outstanding outcomes for all students and contributing to a dynamic department focused on excellence.

Requirements
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of the current national curriculum and assessment requirements for Science.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across all key stages, with a focus on Physics.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, utilising data to inform future planning.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment conducive to high academic standards and pupil welfare.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of the departmental curriculum, resources, and schemes of work.
- Set and mark work, including homework, to encourage students and ensure that learning is both effective and appropriate.
- Manage student behaviour effectively in line with school policy, promoting respect and high expectations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and wider school meetings, including parent's evenings.
- Undertake form tutor responsibilities, providing pastoral support and guidance to a cohort of students.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes, particularly in STEM subjects.
- Ensure effective and efficient deployment of classroom support staff where applicable.
