Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to various key stages and student abilities
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons following the curriculum and School guidelines
- Track student progress and implement targeted strategies to boost outcomes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and share teaching ideas
- Maintain a safe and well-organised laboratory or classroom environment
- Participate in ongoing professional development and Science education initiatives
- Promote and uphold health and safety regulations during practical work
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Demonstrable experience teaching Science at secondary School level
- Strong subject expertise and enthusiasm for Science education
- Commitment to student wellbeing and academic progress
- Excellent skills in communication, organisation, and classroom management
- Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse learning needs
- Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
