We are offering a brand new opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to work within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) The main campus is in the Chorlton area however opportunities may also be available across their other sites across Manchester. The successful candidate will aim to improve the academic achievement of young children who have social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and require extra support to gain the right tools within their school years to succeed in their future years. They will also have strong behaviour management and won't shy away from a challenge.
You will be teach your core subject, but also support in providing a holistic approach to learning for children who may have emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This means that there may be some cross over and flexibility in taught curiculum.
The ideal person for this role would be:
... - Experienced in KS3/4 teaching or experience working with SEN or SEMH (beneficial but not essential)

Your responsibilities:
- Planning and teaching lessons to secondary school children
- Provide group or 1:1 support with pupils
- Creating engaging and creative lesson plans for the children
- Build and maintain effective relationships with the pupils
- Tracking progress of the pupils and devising plans to improve attainment based on successes and weaknesses of the class
You will display:

Your requirements:
- A teaching qualification (NQTs will also be considered)
- A DBS on the update service
- Be committed to achieving high attainment from pupils and providing an excellent learning experience
