About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our supportive, values-led community. This fixed-term role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and who thrives in a structured, respectful environment. Working across Key Stages 3 and 4, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping educational experiences that matter.

Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

- Proven ability to support learning in a classroom environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Team player with flexibility and resilience.
- Ability to form positive, productive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class support for pupils with varying educational needs.
- Deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
- Support students with SEND, EAL, and SEMH needs.
- Foster a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage pupil engagement through praise and appropriate challenge.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and student progress.
- Promote positive behaviour management in line with school policy.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
- Implement strategies as directed by the SENCo or class teacher.
