About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant with Randstad Education, you will be supporting pupils across various age groups and abilities, including children with additional needs. Your role will involve working closely with class teachers and school staff to deliver tailored support to students, ensuring they reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
You will help with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and assist in creating engaging learning experiences. Many of our schools are looking for TAs with experience in supporting pupils with SEN such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Provide general classroom support under the direction of the class teacher
- Offer one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Encourage pupil engagement and participation in learning activities
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development
- Prepare learning resources and adapt materials when needed
- Work collaboratively with school staff, external professionals, and parents
Ideal Candidate:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
- Desirable: Experience supporting pupils with SEN
- A proactive and positive approach to working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of different schools
