This role is all about providing effective, personalised support. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to ensure every student, regardless of their starting point, has the resources and encouragement they need to thrive. You'll help maintain a calm, supportive, and ambitious classroom environment, contributing directly to higher attainment and student well-being.
Main Duties:
- Actively assist the class teacher with the smooth delivery of all planned lessons.
- Target support for small groups or individuals needing help in fundamental skills like reading and numeracy.
- Prepare resources and learning materials, helping to keep the classroom organised and stimulating.
- Promote excellent behaviour and social skills through positive interactions and guidance.
- Supervise children during breaks, lunchtimes, and school transitions to maintain safety.
- Communicate observations clearly to the teacher about student learning, challenges, and moods.
