Randstad Education is currently seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in a 1:1 capacity with pupils who need additional support to reach their potential. This role is well suited to individuals who are committed to inclusive education and enjoy working closely with children.
In this position, you will provide structured 1:1 support, helping the pupil engage with lessons, understand instructions, and remain focused on learning activities. You may also support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social interaction, ensuring the pupil feels supported and included within the classroom.
You will work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff, contributing to the delivery of individual support plans and monitoring progress. The role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a positive attitude, particularly when working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
Role requirements
Previous experience in education, childcare, or support work
A patient and empathetic approach
Ability to follow behaviour and learning support plans
Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
