Role & Responsibilities
You will provide vital one-on-one and small-group support to students with diverse special educational needs. Working closely with teachers, you'll implement individual learning plans, helping students achieve their academic and personal goals. You'll be a key part of creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, contributing to a thriving learning environment.
Main tasks include
- Provide individualised and small-group support to students with SEN.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement and adapt individual learning plans.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with lesson preparation and materials.
- Track student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents.
- Mentor and guide students, celebrating their achievements.
Requirements
- At least six months experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred).
- Relevant qualifications in education (preferred).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to inclusive education practices.
- Passion for supporting students to reach their full potential.
