We are looking for a SEN teaching assistant who is patient, empathetic and eager to support KS4 pupils. You will be working in a school based out of the Bradford area. This will be a full time role and you will be working from Monday through Friday (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
The school offers assistance to young individuals in Key Stage 4, encompassing a diverse array of complex needs. The institution collaborates with children, along with their parents and caregivers, to deliver personalised support tailored to each child's unique requirements.
Roles & responsibilities:
... - Provide one-on-one assistance to children with special educational needs, tailoring support to their specific requirements.
- Modify classroom materials and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities among children.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive conduct and create a conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and special education coordinators to develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for children with SEN.
- Promote inclusion and social integration by facilitating interactions between children with SEN and their peers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children with SEN during classroom activities and transitions.
Requirements:
- A solid grasp of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
- Familiarity with diverse teaching approaches suitable for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Proficiency in comprehending child development and the learning process.
- Exhibit effective listening skills and excellent verbal communication abilities.
- A commitment to building positive connections with children and comprehending their requirements.
- The capacity to offer personalised attention, encouragement, and assistance with educational assignments.
- Either possessing an Enhanced DBS check or being prepared to obtain one through Randstad.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
