Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Sefton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on the educational journey of students with special needs.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with various special educational needs.
- Work alongside class teachers to carry out individual learning plans.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Assist with lesson preparation and track student progress.
- Mentor students and encourage them to reach their full potential.
- Maintain a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Take part in school events and activities.
- Keep detailed records of student development.
What We're Looking For:
- At least six months of experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school.
- A caring and empathetic approach to supporting students with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to get one).
- A relevant educational qualification is preferred.
- A collaborative team player.
- Experience with a range of SEN needs is a plus.
