Become an essential part of the school day! As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial, high-quality support that enables teachers to deliver exceptional lessons. Your primary focus will be on boosting student confidence, providing targeted help, and creating a productive, joyful atmosphere where every child feels encouraged to learn, grow, and achieve their personal best.
Main Duties:
- Help the main teacher in the delivery of daily lessons, manage classroom activities and transitions.
- Support small groups of students with foundational skills like reading, writing, and numeracy.
- Assist in getting the classroom ready, such as preparing materials or creating stimulating displays.
- Listen to children read and help them practise key skills for confidence building.
- Support positive behaviour management and encourage good conduct in the classroom.
- Supervise students during non-class times, such as breaks, lunch, or organised school activities.
- Clearly communicate any significant observations regarding student well-being or learning gaps to the class teacher.
