The Cover Supervisor role is a pivotal leadership position designed to maintain stability in secondary classrooms (Ages 11-16). You are the supervisor, the manager, and the essential link in the learning chain.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the class and manage secondary students (ages 11-16).
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons from the absent teacher.
- Hand out and collect learning materials.
- Take and record the class attendance register.
- Supervise students while they complete their tasks.
- Report lesson progress and any student issues to the teacher.
- Ensure student safety and well-being.
Skills Required:
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Punctuality and unwavering commitment to school schedules.
- Capacity to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Readiness to work across different departments and year groups.
