We are working with a wide range of vibrant secondary schools across Liverpool who are seeking Teaching Assistants to join their teams this September.

As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and support staff to ensure that pupils receive the help they need, both in and out of the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about education and looking to build a meaningful career in a supportive environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students across KS3 and KS4, both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Support students with additional learning needs.
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Encourage student participation and boost confidence and engagement.
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students during exams, assessments, and independent tasks.
- Supervise break and lunch duties where needed.
- Prepare and maintain classroom resources and learning materials.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with secondary-aged children (either in school or youth/community settings).
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
- A proactive, caring, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
