Role & Responsibilities
You will be working as a Teaching Assistant, providing support to young people and small groups within secondary schools settings across the Area. You will play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their full potential. You'll be working closely with teachers and other support staff, contributing to lesson planning and delivery, and providing individual or small group support to students with diverse learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people.
Main tasks include
- Assisting teachers in the classroom
- Providing individual and small group support to students
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
- Contributing to lesson planning and preparation
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
- Supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Must have experience working in UK secondary schools
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to providing high-quality support to students
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Relevant qualifications (desirable)
- Experience with specific learning difficulties (desirable)
- Knowledge of relevant safeguarding procedures (desirable)
- A passion for education and a commitment to making a difference
