About the Opportunity
Randstad Education is seeking a reliable, resilient, and flexibly adaptive Full-Time Teaching Assistant for an immediate, long-term position at one of our valued partner schools in Lichfield.
This role is within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) which provides crucial provision for children who have been permanently excluded, or alternative provision designed to prevent permanent exclusion. As an all-age provision, your confidence and commitment in supporting vulnerable children are vital.
We are looking for someone to work full-time (a 0.8 contract may be considered for exceptional circumstances). You will be integral to the smooth running of group work and supporting classes of up to 8 children with their learning.

This academy is dedicated to re-engaging students with education, focusing on therapeutic approaches alongside academic progress. The team is collaborative, and the focus is on creating a safe space where every child can achieve stability and success.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, tailored to individual student needs.
Lead and sit the running of small group work, providing targeted academic and social-emotional support.
Assist in the management of classroom behaviour and de-escalate challenging situations with confidence and consistency.
Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Provide one-to-one support to children who are experiencing difficulties with their learning or emotional regulation.
Contribute to the assessment, planning, and recording of students progress and development.
Essential Requirements and Skills
