As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of the classroom, providing essential support to both the teacher and the students. You'll help create a positive and effective learning environment, assisting with everything from one-on-one support to preparing materials and helping manage classroom activities.
Pay Rate: £13.68 - £14.00 per hour.
Areas: We are recruiting for Caretaker positions across Wirral, with roles available in key areas like Birkenhead (CH41, CH42, CH43), Wallasey (CH44, CH45), Bebington (CH63), Bromborough (CH62, CH63), and Heswall (CH60, CH61). We also have opportunities in Hoylake (CH47, CH48), West Kirby (CH48), and other surrounding areas including Moreton (CH46), Greasby (CH49), and Eastham (CH62). Our vacancies cover all of the Wirral postcodes: CH41, CH42, CH43, CH44, CH45, CH46, CH47, CH48, CH49, CH60, CH61, CH62, and CH63.
Core Duties:
- Student Support: Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
- Classroom Assistance: Helping the teacher with daily tasks, including setting up and clearing away materials.
- Behaviour Management: Supporting the teacher in managing student behaviour and ensuring a calm learning environment.
- Lesson Preparation: Assisting with the creation and organisation of learning resources.
- Pastoral Care: Offering emotional support and helping to ensure the well-being of all students.
Skills & Qualifications Needed:
- Patience: The ability to remain calm and composed in all situations.
- Empathy: A genuine understanding and care for the needs of children.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Flexibility: The ability to adapt to different classroom needs and student personalities.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: An understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential.
