Job Title: Adults Services Team Manager
Location: Bridgend
Salary: £45-£50ph
As an Adults Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and support to a team of social workers and support staff within our adults' services department. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that individuals receive the appropriate care and support to help them achieve their goals and maintain their independence. Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring that casework is managed effectively and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Support and mentor staff members, providing guidance and assistance in complex cases, and promoting professional development and continuous learning.
- Oversee the assessment and care planning process for individuals with care and support needs, ensuring that services are tailored to meet their individual circumstances and preferences.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of service provision, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including other agencies, professionals, and community organizations, to promote collaborative working and integrated service delivery.
- Represent the department at meetings, conferences, and other forums, advocating for the needs and interests of adults with care and support needs and promoting the work of the organization.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification recognized by Social Care Wales.
- Registered with Social Care Wales as a Social Worker.
- Significant post-qualification experience in a social work role within adults' services, including experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to adults' services, including the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and promote a positive working environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
