Job Title: Team Manager Children's Services
Location: Bridgend
Salary: £43-£50ph
As a Social Worker Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and support to a team of social workers and support staff within our children's services department. You will play a key role in ensuring that statutory obligations are met, service standards are maintained, and the best possible outcomes are achieved for the children and families we serve. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social work professional to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families in Bridgend.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring that casework is managed effectively and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Support and mentor staff members, providing guidance and assistance in complex cases, and promoting professional development and continuous learning.
- Oversee the allocation and management of cases within the team, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently and that service delivery meets established standards and targets.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of service provision, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including other agencies, professionals, and community organizations, to promote collaborative working and integrated service delivery.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification recognized by Social Care Wales.
- Registered with Social Care Wales as a Social Worker.
- Significant post-qualification experience in a social work role within children's services, including experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to children's services, safeguarding, and child protection.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and promote a positive working environment.
