About the Role
As the Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of social workers who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and young people. A key part of this role will involve providing targeted support and direction to our ASYE practitioners, helping them to develop into confident and skilled social workers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervision and Leadership: Providing regular, high-quality supervision and professional support to a team of social workers, including our ASYE cohort.
Case Management Oversight: Ensuring that all case work is of a high standard, in line with statutory guidance and local policies, and that positive outcomes are achieved for children.
Performance Management: Monitoring team performance, managing workloads, and ensuring a culture of accountability and excellence.
Supporting ASYEs: Playing a hands-on role in the development of our newly qualified social workers, providing a solid foundation for their careers in children's social care.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced social work professional with a passion for both leadership and professional development.
A recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Significant post-qualifying experience in children's social care, with a strong understanding of Child in Need and Child Protection work.
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within social work.
A solid understanding of the ASYE framework and a genuine commitment to supporting the professional growth of new practitioners.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
