We are seeking an experienced and fully certified telehandler driver for a temporary holiday cover role on a busy new build housing site in South Queensferry. This is a crucial position to ensure materials are moved efficiently during the cover period.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operating the Telehandler on site, transporting and positioning materials (e.g., roof trusses, bricks, timber) to designated working areas.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles promptly and securely.
- Conducting mandatory daily pre-start safety checks on the machine and accurately reporting any defects.
- Working closely with the Site Management and various trade teams across the development.
- Strictly adhering to all site Health & Safety regulations and lifting procedures.
Essential Requirements
- A valid CPCS or NPORS telehandler certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience operating a telescopic handler, ideally on a busy residential construction site.
- Strong knowledge of safe working practices, including load stability and signalling.
- Reliability, punctuality, and excellent communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Must have your own suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
