About the Role

Location: Larne
Contract: 6-month initial contract , with potential for extension based on performance and workload
Pay Rate: Up to £15 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexible start/finish times and a half-day on Fridays
What You'll Do
Plan and execute international transportation shipments (Ocean, Road, and Air) for finished products from European facilities to dealers and customers.
Conduct detailed cost analysis, review rates, and check quotes to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Utilise systems and business intelligence dashboards like Power BI to review performance, identify improvement opportunities, find errors, and determine root causes.
Support the Manager and initiate continuous improvement ideas to drive operational efficiencies.
Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including transportation velocity, cost, and data quality.
Proactively communicate and maintain strong relationships with global supply chain partners and customers.
Play a key part in change management, adapting to evolving market demands.
Desirable attributes for this role:
A Bachelor's degree or third-level education in Supply Chain or Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience.
Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, weighted averages, and complex calculations. This is a critical requirement.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with proficiency in written and verbal English.
A proactive, self-starter attitude with an appetite for learning and innovation.
Candidates with strong analytical backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply as transportation-specific knowledge can be taught.
Working knowledge of Power BI, Visio, Power Automate, and/or Salesforce.
