        Nights - Traffic Planner ManchesterSalary - £CompetitivePermanentAs a Traffic Planner you will be responsible for the day to day management of the Local Arctic Fleet. you are also responsible for ensuring all planned deliveries are on time, making you a vital part of our team. Key responsibilities in this role will include:Ensure all timed deliveries are on time - Potential failures reported to Manager 1 hour before. Ensure all vehicles monitored and progress recorded.Ensure all collections in core area collected on time using most cost effective means.Ensure all employed drivers are using PDA's to update arrival time at site and to obtain electronic signaturesEnsure all employed drivers are using PDA's to update status of jobs collected.Ensure all jobs in traffic diary are allocated correctly to collecting drivers.Ensure any damages / accidents are reported correctly and relevant forms completed on return to depot.Ensure mentor duties completed by agreed deadline and relevant forms updated. Any issues/concerns to be escalated to Manager.Ensure the trailer board is kept upto date.Ensure all drivers given start times for following day.Ensure all drivers are fully debriefed at end of shift ensuring all POD's accounted for and any damages/shortages reported to line manager.Ensure all drivers download tachograph card and hand in vehicle keys at end of shift.Ensure all drivers stay within the legal parameters set by tachograph law and working time directive. The role is ideal for someone with prior transport planning and administration experience who has knowledge of routing and scheduling deliveries, excellent IT and administration skills.
