Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. We are looking for someone with the right attitude to support our clients Manufacturing Services department.
Pay rate - £12.98 p/h - £13.46 p/h (Dependent on Experience)
Hours 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Ideally 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm)
Contract - 3 - 6 months (potentially permanent after this period)
As a Warehouse Operative, you will ensure the correct processes for receipt, storage, and kitting of goods are followed. Your main duties will include:
Kitting & Picking: Accurately picking physical parts for Manufacturing Orders (MOs) and delivering kits to the correct work centers
Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and ensuring stock movements are recorded 100% correctly in the Odoo system.
Goods Handling: Receiving deliveries, logging items into 'Goods-in', and processing Goods-out administration.
Quality Control: Monitoring product quality during storage and reporting damaged stock or shortages to the Line Manager immediately.
Housekeeping: Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the stores, including taking out general rubbish and recycling.
Requirements & Qualifications
While our client is willing to train the right person, the ideal candidate will possess:
Computer Literacy: Good skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word are required.
Systems Knowledge: Experience using stock management software or ERP systems (such as Odoo) is preferred.
Soft Skills: Excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Experience: Ideally, at least 3 years of Stores experience in an engineering or manufacturing background.
Forklift License: A Counter Balance B1 license (up to 5 ton) is advantageous, though not required as we currently have sufficient coverage.
