We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team leader to join our clients team. Our client is a global leader in robotics. Reporting to the Manufacturing Services Manager, you will take control of the stores department, ensuring the warehouse operates smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a small team while working closely with the production team.
Location: Blindley Heath, Surrey
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am to 5pm with a 30 min lunch break. The flexi hours will also apply to this role. Core hours between 10am and 4pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Stores Officers, conducting performance reviews and ensuring KPIs are met. You will manage staffing levels, training, and scheduling.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and kitting of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
Ensure Manufacturing Orders (MOs) are processed accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines. You will also identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce costs.
Conduct regular cycle counts and complete bi-annual full stock takes to ensure physical stock matches system records.
Utilise the ERP system to track stock and identify bottlenecks.
Work effectively with Procurement, Production, and Finance to align warehouse operations with business goals.
About You We are looking for an experienced team leader with a background in warehouse or manufacturing environments. Attitude is key for this role, particularly a "can-do" approach to managing warehouse stock levels.
Experience: 5 years of warehouse experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Leadership: Proven experience in team leadership.
Skills: Strong computer skills (Microsoft/Excel) and meticulous attention to detail.
Licences: A Counterbalance B1 Forklift Licence (up to 5 ton) is desired, though our client is open to candidates with strong experience who do not currently hold this licence.
