Job Title: TIG Welder
Location: Banbridge (BT32 3QD)
Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon-Thu: 07:00-16:00 | Fri: 07:00-15:00)
Contract Type: Temporary (on going - strong potential to go permanent)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
Looking for a reliable, skilled TIG Welder to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Banbridge.This role offers competitive pay, great daytime working hours with an early Friday finish, and potential for overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- precise TIG welding and fabrication according to engineering/blueprint drawings.
- Fabricate pipework sections using black iron and stainless steel to standard.
- Prepare weld surfaces, manage equipment/consumables, and complete pre/post-weld quality checks.
- Safely operate standard hand and power tools for fabrication and welding.
- Adhere to site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including mandatory PPE and extraction equipment use.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on TIG welding and pipework fabrication experience.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings independently.
- Skilled in welding/fabricating with black iron and stainless-steel pipe.
- Ability to pass an on-site practical weld test.
- Complete a Basic DBS check.
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a safe work attitude.
