- Standard Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday)
Pay Rates
Day Shift: £14.27/hr
Night Shift: £19.03/hr
Overtime (First 10 hours): £21.41/hr
Overtime (After 10 hours): £28.54/hr
Shift Patterns (Rotation Required)
Day Shift: Monday 07:00 - 17:15 | Tuesday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:45
Night Shift: Monday 21:00 - 07:15 | Tuesday - Thursday 21:00 - 06:45
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MMA/MIG welding, gas welding, brazing, and soldering on custom containers, silencers, and skid bases.
- Fabricate, modify, and rework complex structures often without detailed prints or fixtures.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and plan work sequences effectively.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety, quality standards, and 5S workplace organization.
- Mentor and train other team members when required, upholding core company values.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Fabrication/Welding, or proven hands-on trade experience.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering prints and schematic assembly drawings.
- Strong practical arithmetic skills and ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shift rotations, plus overtime when required.
Desired:
- Experience operating within a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Competency using slinging equipment and cranes to transport heavy fabrications safely.
- Comfortable working at heights and using measuring tapes/squares to inspect high-precision work.
- Excellent attention to detail, quality mindset, and organizational skills.
