Responsibilities:Leading a dynamic classroom, developing young minds, and building a thriving learning environment. You will be the driving force in a Year 2 classroom, creating engaging lessons and fostering a love of learning in your students. You'll collaborate closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure every child reaches their full potential. Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality lessons, monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, managing classroom routines and behaviour, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
Specifically the activities will be:
- Plan and prepare engaging and effective lessons.
- Deliver engaging lessons in Maths, English, phonics, and foundation subjects.
- Continuously monitor pupil understanding, mark work, and provide feedback.
- Oversee classroom routines and manage behaviour to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Liaise daily with your Teaching Assistant (TA), colleagues, and parents.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
What requirements are we looking for?
Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching Year 2 or a similar age group.
Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Strong classroom management skills and experience creating a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Passionate about education and making a positive impact on children's lives.
- Experience with differentiated instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of the UK national curriculum for primary education.
