In this role, you will:
Prepare the classroom and resources for engaging lessons.
Teach core subjects like English, Maths, and Science, building on foundational skills.
Lead targeted small group activities and incorporate hands-on learning.
Prepare students for their end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs) in a supportive manner.
Assess student understanding and progress throughout the day.
Manage classroom behaviour, routines, and transitions.
Supervise children during break and lunch times.
Mark work and plan future lessons after school.
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Skills and Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience working with Year 2 or Key Stage 1 students is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment framework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
