Key Responsibilities: As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:
Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of learning.
Effectively manage classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all pupils, including those with SEN.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student outcomes.
Contribute to the school's planning for Year 2 SATS preparation in a supportive and low-pressure manner.
Requirements:
Qualification: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also encouraged to apply.
Experience: Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting is essential. Direct experience as a Year 2 Teacher or within KS1 is highly desirable.
Curriculum Knowledge: A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Classroom Management: Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Skills: Outstanding communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. A team player with a genuine passion for primary education.
