Role & Responsibilities: Year 2 Teacher
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be instrumental in the academic and personal development of children at a crucial stage of their education. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Lesson Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
Classroom Environment: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom where every child feels valued and is encouraged to succeed.
Assessment & Progress: Monitor, assess, and record student progress, using data effectively to inform and adapt your teaching strategies.
Differentiated Learning: Adapt your teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, ensuring every child can achieve their full potential.
Parent Partnership: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and carers through regular and effective communication.
Collaboration: Work closely with your teaching assistant, KS1 colleagues, and the wider school community.
Safeguarding: Uphold a steadfast commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children.
Requirements
We are looking for a dedicated primary teacher who has:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2).
Curriculum Knowledge: A strong and current understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
Classroom Management: Excellent and positive classroom management skills.
Passion & Dedication: A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Communication Skills: Superb communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of and dedication to safeguarding principles.
