The Role

As our new Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils in your Year 3 class, ensuring excellent progress and attainment.
• Creating a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment where children feel valued, happy, and confident.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintaining accurate records of pupil achievement and contributing to pupil reports.
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil well-being and learning outcomes.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.
• Upholding the school's ethos and policies, including safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 3, or strong experience in Key Stage 1 with a readiness to transition.
• Possesses a strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and assessment framework.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Is committed to continuous professional development and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
