- Minimum 2 years' experience teaching KS2.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Prepare the classroom for daily lessons.
- Warmly greet students and create a positive learning environment.
- Deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Conduct ongoing formative assessment.
- Communicate with parents/carers.
- Collaborate with colleagues.
- Year 5 Teacher responsibilities also include marking student work and planning future lessons.
- The Year 5 Teacher will also supervise students during break times and lunchtime.
- A Year 5 Teacher will update records, including attendance, assessment data, and any incidents.
- The Year 5 Teacher will tidy the classroom and ensure resources are organised.
